In addition to our reputable in-person Ulpan courses, we are offering a 60 hour long Hebrew course – in a live virtual classroom, taught by our talented, certified Ulpan Bayit teachers. Small groups of 6-8 students, for each and every level. Lessons are in Zoom and include online lessons and online content.

The Levels

We divide our students into eleven levels, from A1.1 to C.1.1, following the European standard. We check every student individually in order to make sure you are placed in the correct level for you, and only with people who are at the same place as you are. 

Aleph Levels - Beginners

A1.1 (Aleph): The breakthrough level. Learning the alphabet, cursive and block letters, the present tense, basic conversational skills, building verbal and nominal sentences as well as useful questions. Learn more

A1.2 (Aleph+): Expansion of the skills acquired in Aleph – adding the infinitive and learning all verb categories in the present tense. In addition we learn the basics of the past tense and start reading more complex texts. Learn more

A1.3 (Aleph++): We continue with the past tense in all verb categories, add more advanced sentence structures, modals verbs and learn how to conjugate prepositions correctly. Learn more

A2.1 (Bet): Starting with the future tense, expanding the knowledge on prepositions, learning the gerund and adding complex sentence connectors – causal, time, consequential. Learn more

A2.2 (Bet+): Continuing with future tense conjugations, reading more complex texts and learning noun conjugation, nominal verb forms and conditional sentences. In the morning intensive programs, by the end of this level students are ready for the the Intermediate level, as students are familiar with most of the structures of the language. Learn more

A2.3 (Bet++):The third part of the Bet level, where online and evening students will finish the future forms, work and practice on speaking flow and be prepared to advance to the Intermediate level. Learn more

B1.1 (Gimmel): Gimmel is for people who know the  language, but are having hard time expressing themselves. The mission in this level is to become a real Hebrew speaker: accurately express yourself, take part in conversations, extract the main idea from texts and have the confidence to communicate in Hebrew. Learn more

B1.2 (Gimmel+): Gimmel+ is for people who know how to speak, but need to make their communication more accurate and at a higher register. The mission is to be able to accurately express your dreams and opinions, take part in complex conversations, extract the main idea from a journalistic text and start reading the paper, and have the confidence to work in a Hebrew-requiring environment. Learn more

B1.3 (Gimmel++): Gimmel++ continues what was taught in Gimmel+, while focusing on expanding your vocabulary and grammatical abilities in order to be able to express yourselves more accurately and fluently. Just like in Gimmel+ we’ll be using modern and relevant subject matter and media to give a stage to real life discussions and conversations. Learn more

B2 (Dalet): Diving into academic language, focusing on formal writing and reading high-level texts such as hard news articles, popular science, etc. Students will also learn how to present arguments and opinions in an sophisticated manner. By the end of Dalet, students are eligible to sign up to universities, can speak spontaneously with native speakers without strain. Learn more

What do you offer?
Hebrew classes for all levels, in short fast paced Hebrew courses.
How are you different?
We are not going to waste your time. Our courses are short and efficient, with small groups and a great focus on communication. Our teachers are all Hebrew as a Second Language teachers, knowledgeable, professional and experienced.  With us you are not committed to learn 5-6 months in a row, but can create your own yearly schedule – with the option to start a course almost every month of the year. On top of that, we are checking EVERY students level to make sure we have balanced classes, and our main focus is pedagogics. We LOVE to teach and we KNOW how to do it!
Are you a municipal Ulpan?
No – we are not limited by the ministry of education, and therefore we can create our unique atmosphere: our Hebrew courses are limited to 8-12 students and we don’t involve religion and ideology in classes. We purely teach Hebrew, in the best way possible.
What are you prices?
Our price is about 55 NIS per 45 minutes (academic hour) – which is the standard price for language courses in Israel. A morning course consists of 80 academic hours, and costs 3450 NIS accordingly, evening and online classes cost 3350 NIS for a course of 60 academic hours. Starting October 2022 book price is included.
How do you know how to teach?
We are a group of highly skilled and experienced Hebrew teachers. We are all certified by the Hebrew University in Jerusalem program for Teaching Hebrew as a Foreign Language. Last year we even started our own teachers training program, that is run by our most skilled and learned teachers.
Who is your average student?
It’s hard to say we have such a profile – we have many people from all around the globe and a very international atmosphere. Many of our students are partners of Israelis who came to Israel, embassy workers and other types of international workers, exchange students, new immigrants and people who just want to study Hebrew. The age range is wide although most students are in their twenties or thirties.
