Ira is one of the finest Hebrew teachers, and a true anchor for her students. She’s a native Russian speaker, and experienced making Aliya first hand, which makes her understand exactly what her students go through and what it is they require. And as if that’s not enough, she’s also fluent in German and spoken Arabic.
Amos
Amos is not only an amazing Hebrew teacher but also a Nissan Nativ trained actor. Amos leads an Improv(e) Workshop at the Ulpan in which students learn Hebrew through game & imagination. He loves to dance bachata and speaks six languages (English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Arabic & Yiddish)!
Shira
A Hebrew teacher and a singer songwriter with her band “The Hazelnuts” and other projects. Shira thinks of teaching and performing as two beautiful expressions of humanity making the best out of life.
Noa
Noa is one of our most creative teachers and a notorious polyglot. She’s an expert in online teaching and serves as our online teachers trainer and coordinator. Apart from teaching, she’s a busy leader of two Indie Rock bands, and a semi-dilettante culture researcher.
Noam
Noam is a teacher that adores Hebrew, for her teaching Hebrew is a way to create connections between the students to the language and to one another.
When she is not in the Ulpan, you can probably find her in a local coffee shop writing poetry or dreaming about a future full of art.
Jad
Jade is a super cool video artist and illustrator, and after studying with us for three courses, she joined our office staff!
She answers messages and emails faster than lucky luck shoots game with (almost) no spelling mistakes and even when she has a bad day she’ll help you find the best course for you, a cool restaurant or an arts & craft supply store with a smile on her face!
Eden
Eden has loved exploring the intricacies of the language for as long as she can remember. Eden loves dancing Contact and exploring the movement of the body, as well as growing her sourdough and constantly learning how to become a greater bread baker. She is also on her way to become a Clinical Psychologist and has an MA in Clinical Psychology.
Eli
Eli conducts Hebrew, Judaism, and Israel Studies lessons for institutions and individuals across the US, the UK, and Israel (thanks, Zoom!). He also teaches performance, public speaking, voice, yoga, and meditation. He teaches a lot. How does he survive? Coffee. Lots of coffee.
Haley
Haley is a great aleph level teacher who’s dream is to learn all of the languages in the world (but only knows two as of now). She also loves to sew and speak about philosophy!
Hadar
Hadar teaches Hebrew patiently and with joy as this process of introducing and teaching a new language still gets her every time.
Besides teaching Hebrew, Hadar is also a marketer and a project manager and firmly believes second hand clothing will save the world!
Lotan
Lotan came to us from a kibbutz in the far north of Israel. He loves teaching and always comes to class with patience, a smile and his unique sense of humor. Apart from teaching, he’s a professional massage therapist, and plays trumpet in a couple of indie bands.
Roni
Aside from teaching Hebrew, Roni is a painter, an art teacher and she loves doing Hebrew cryptic crosswords. She’s a born and raised Kibbutznick – ask her all about it!
Chen
Chen loves teaching Hebrew, is also always learning new languages (Chinese, Sign, French…), and her perspective as a student makes her a better teacher. She loves Chinese poetry and reads books endlessly!
Kosta
Kosta is a beloved and versatile Hebrew teacher, and is particularly intuitive about his students true challenges and needs. He’s a native Russian speaker, a history student and is in one of the busiest Indie Rock artists in Tel Aviv! Most importantly, he likes to eat pickled beets as a snack.
Idan
Idan joined the Ulpan after completing our very first teacher training program. Since then, he has been teaching online from Berlin. He is known for his pleasant, supportive and patient approach. Idan is also a guitarist and composer and a self-taught German speaker – ask him for tips!
Noa
Noa is a brilliant and methodical Hebrew teacher, our coordinator of the Aleph++ and Bet levels, and part of our teachers training team. She’s a linguist, specializing in phonology, and currently working towards her PHD. She loves teaching how to sing in Hebrew despite having no sense of rhythm whatsoever.
Raz
Raz is a Gimmel level master – she knows how to make people speak Hebrew. She is also a licensed psychologist and is currently doing her residency in clinical psychology at a mental health clinic.
Ayelet
Ayelet is an astonishingly dedicated and creative teacher, known for her impeccable patience and methodical teaching style. She loves meeting new people around Tel Aviv, beach volleyball, yoga, and she tries to be silly whenever she can.
Dan
Dan has been teaching Hebrew for the past 20 years – both as a foreign language and for Israeli drama students. He also speaks English, Spanish and German, and even records audiobooks! Feel free to ask him anything about proper Nikkud – the Hebrew vowel signs!
Tamar
Tamar is our coordinator of the Aleph and Aleph+ levels, a versatile Hebrew teacher, and part of our teachers training team. She’s a Mandarine speaker, a yoga teacher, and stands behind the “Layla Tov” (Good Night) initiative , which aspires to make the israeli nightlife fun and safe from sexual harassment.
Segev
Segev is a Hebrew teacher and is fluent in Hebrew, English and French, and is currently working on his Arabic. He is the founder and a teacher at the “Ruach Erev” program for studying the human mind and spirit through psychoanalysis, culture and body experiences
