Ulpan Bayit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make our website inclusive and usable.

We view accessibility not as a compliance checkbox but as part of our core mission: learning Hebrew should be available to anyone who wants it, regardless of ability.

Ulpan Bayit aims to meet the Israeli Standard IS 5568 (Israeli Standard for Web Accessibility), which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

On 11 July 2026, we reviewed the launch routes in Chromium with Playwright and axe-core, including keyboard-only checks for navigation, cookie choices, accessibility controls, course filters, and checkout dialogs. The automated audit found no critical or serious axe violations on the tested routes. We also inspected accessible names and browser accessibility semantics in automated tests. We did not complete a manual screen-reader session, so this result is not a claim of complete WCAG conformance or a legal guarantee.

This website provides the following built-in accessibility features:

• Text resizing — increase or decrease base font size.
• Line height & letter spacing — improve readability for dyslexic users.
• High contrast mode — enhanced contrast for low-vision users.
• Grayscale mode — removes colour reliance.
• Readable font — switches to a sans-serif font optimised for legibility.
• Highlight links — makes all links visually distinct.
• Stop animations — disables motion for users with vestibular sensitivities.
• Keyboard navigation enhancement — visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
• Assistive-technology support — automated checks verify semantic landmarks, programmatic names, live regions, and logical heading structure.
• Skip to content — a hidden skip link appears on first Tab keypress to bypass navigation.

All preferences are saved to your browser so they persist across visits. Use the accessibility widget (bottom-left corner of every page) to toggle these features at any time.

The 11 July 2026 review identified these limits in its coverage:

• Hosted payment content — the payment provider loads in a cross-origin iframe. Our automated axe audit covers the modal shell but cannot inspect the provider’s document.
• Assistive-technology coverage — this review used browser accessibility semantics and automated tooling, not a manual session with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or TalkBack.
